Campus overview
Basalt Ridge Technology Park is Basaltline’s largest development: 220 acres in Fauquier County, Virginia, planned for four data center buildings totaling more than 300MW of IT capacity. An approved on-site power yard and direct high-voltage transmission access make it one of the most power-secure sites in the Mid-Atlantic.
The campus sits within 35 miles of Ashburn’s fiber ecosystem, with diverse long-haul routes and latency under 2ms to Northern Virginia’s cloud availability zones — close enough for synchronous replication, far enough for geographic diversity.

Power, fiber, and water — secured
A dedicated on-site power yard steps transmission voltage down for the full campus build-out, with N+1 utility feeds and space reserved for battery storage. Two independent substation paths protect every building.
Four diverse fiber entrances connect to long-haul carriers and Northern Virginia carrier hotels. Reclaimed water supports high-efficiency evaporative cooling, backed by air-cooled redundancy for drought resilience.
In the community
We host quarterly open houses in Remington, fund STEM programs in Fauquier County schools, and partnered with the county on road and trail improvements around the campus perimeter.
